ILR for workpermit, Tier 2 ICT switching to Tier 2 General

Post by kriya2 » Wed May 30, 2012 7:51 am

I would be happy if anyone of the experienced members can advise on my situation below
I entered in the UK in OCT 2007 on WP, since then after multiple extensions I have a Tier 2 ICT (long term) currently, I have been with the same employer since Oct 2007 in the UK. I am eligible for ILR in Sept 2012 (this year).
The query is:
I now have an offer from a new employer to switch to Tier 2 General and start new job from August 2012. I am wondering whether this will cause any problems for my ILR application when I apply in Sep 2012. Do I need to work for a minimum duration with new Tier 2 G sponsor (employer) before I apply for ILR?
Expert advice on the above will help me a lot. Thanks in advance !

Assuming that the WP that you entered with in 2007 was issued on the basis that you were an intra-company transferee (in other words, WP (ICT)):

No 245HF, in particular 245HF(x).

No. As long as your employer provides you with the necessary letter (245HF(d)), you'll be fine.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!
