thanks innocentdevil

for your support but still i am confused,
i need to take 6 items from 3 different sources that means

if I take 2 letters which is one from last year and 2nd from this year!
is it consider as 2 items or 1 item?

or 1 item is (1st letter from last year and 2nd letter from this year)
or 1 item is (1st letter from last year and
2 items is (2nd letter from this year).

sorry i couldnot explain properly.

thanks

As it explains on page 19 of the form SET(M) :-
We need 6 letters or other documents addressed to you jointly or in both your names. If you do not have enough items in your joint names, you may also provide items addressed to each of you individually if they show the same address for both of you. Examples of acceptable letters and documents are listed below. They must be originals.

The dates of the letters or documents should spread over the whole 2 years. They should be from at least 3 different sources.
-: with more guidance than that on the form.

Are you applying on FLR(M) or SET(M)?

If you are applying on FLR(M) then you only need to provide the six documents to prove cohabitation if you are applying in the unmarried partner sub-category, or if you have already completed two years in the partner category and are applying for an extension of stay.

Each of the items you list would be counted as a separate document eg. two bank statements from different dates would be counted as two documents.

If you don't have any items in joint names than I recommend providing at least six items for each of you. If possible choose documents that are evenly spread over the full two year period.
