I wonder what you might be referring to? Is this question with regard to an application to the UKBA for leave to remain?

Hi

To the best of my knowledge you wont be able includer your redundancy payments to claim any points when applying for your ILR. The very simple reason is that redundancy payment is not considered as a countinous or any performance based source of earnings unlike bonuses, pay rises, dividends in case if you're self employed.

I am just sharing my knowledge with you as I am from the field of Finance my self and the other unfortunate thing is that I haven't come accross any guidelines published by the UKBA that what types of earnings one can consider while claiming points for any Visa Application. Take another simple example that you wont be able to include any expense payments made by your company to claim any points at all for simple reason that its not classed as a continous source of earnings and the other thing is that in the same situation you wont be able to claim any points on the basis of any benefit in kind payments you're getting from your company for eg health insurance, company car although they're taxed but they're not classed as a continous source of earnings.

Hope this will answer your question.

Good luck for your ILR.
