Can dependent travel on old visa which is still valid?

Post by rajesh9pl » Thu May 31, 2012 1:08 am

Hi,

I (Primary/Main applicant) have extended my Tier 1 (General) visa in UK, some days ago through PEO appointment. My previous T1 (G) was valid till September 2012, however I took early extension. My wife didn't apply as she is in India on her maternity leave, has been there since February 2012. She still has old dependent T1 (G) Partner visa, valid till September 2012.

Can she travel on her old dependent visa to UK?

Since dependent application fee for in-country is dearer by 255 (= 816 - 561), I would like to extend her visa in UK.

Will it make difference on my wife's entry if my 5 month old baby has his dependent visa aligned to my new visa?
My son was born in UK and travelled to India on Indian passport, without any UK dependent visa on it, with her mom in February end. I will apply for my son's visa in India soon using my extended visa.

Many thanks,
Rajesh

1. I believe so. You're still a Tier 1 (General) migrant and she a dependant with valid leave.
2. Don't think so.

First of all Congrates mate....

Since MOD has cleared your thoughts can I ask you 1 question regarding your new leave.... I read about your earlier experience at Croydon. Was just wondering, Did they give you your extension from September or from May?
