Switching from Tier 1(general) visa to Tier 2 dependent visa

Post by blr » Fri Jun 01, 2012 9:37 am

Hi,

My Tier 1 (general) visa expires in Feb 2013 and I will be shifting to a Tier 2 (general) dependent visa by July/Aug 2012. I'd like to know:
1. If you could apply for this visa from within the UK
2. The approximate processing time for this visa

Thanks.

Thanks for your response. I had checked this link for the processing times but there's no time line mentioned for Tier 2 dependent visas specifically. Does the time line mentioned for Tier 2 visas cover the dependent visas as well?

Also, regarding applying for the switch in visas from one's home country, is it specifically mentioned anywhere on the UKBA site? I was not able to find this piece of information on the site.

Thanks.

1. Either that or "Other non-settlement visas".
2. Searching for information already available will help.
