In which country do we have to apply for visa?

Post by Kaninka » Fri Jun 01, 2012 12:45 pm

My husband and I live in Denmark and would like to visit London for a few days.

On one hand, my husband is from Letland and does not need a visa to visit UK, on the other hand, I hold a Ukrainian passport and Danish permanent residence. Therefore, I need a visa.

We are planning to visit London together.

I tried to deliver my application in Copenhagen, but the Embassy refused to take my papers and sent me to Kiev. That does not look fair, in my opinion.

That should not be so complicated.

Is it better if my husband applies for permition to take me with him? Does it have to be in his home country or he can apply in Copenhagen?

It seems that there is no specific guidelines what to do in this case. Therefore, I will really appreciate your help and advice.
