Studying english

Hello,

My wife has joined me in the uk a month ago and I want to enrol her into an english course to improve her english and so that she can busy herself while im at work. I live in westminster london but when I went to register my wife for an english course at the wesrminster adult learning centre I was told I have to pay international fees which are considerably high. This is because my wife hasnt lived here or in europe for the past 12 months. Anyone know a way round th or in imstitutions that do not charge as much? Im currently looking at having to pay 1500 for a 3 month part time course!

My fiancée went to the English Studio in Holborn. It's a pretty good school - she went from virtually no English to passing a CEFR B1 exam in 5 months - and it was the best value I could find.

For "full time" study, i.e. 15 hours per week, their afternoon course (12pm - 3.15pm) costs GBP 450 for 12 weeks. Less than GBP 1500 buys you a whole year!
