Hi,

I hope someone can help here.

I am a polish citizent living in uk for 5 years in August . My husband is noneuropean citizent, he got 5 years family member visa until match 2016. We have been living here 2 years and 7 months now. My questions are:

1) after I apply for the permanent stay in uk I am thinking to go to Poland for 3 years to study, can my husband stay in the uk without me. We will be seeing eatch other every 6 months, he has to stay in the uk 2 support me studying in Poland.

2) if i stay in uk and study here insted then apply for permanent stay & passport is there a short cut for my husband to apply for British passport as I will be british citizente.

Thank you,

Jambo

1) As long as you visit the UK at least once every two years, he is fine.
2) If you are BC, then he can apply once he gets PR (5 years). If you are not BC, he can apply after 6 years.

Hi Jambo,

Thank you very much for ur answers.

I still have some questions. If that ok?

1)- (as long as I visit uk once every 2 years, he's fine) in that case, does it mean after or before I apply for the (PR).

2-If I get the (PR) how long do I have to wait to apply for (BC), and how many days I'm allowed to be out of the country during this waiting time.

Many Thanks,

1) after PR.
2) You can apply for BC 1 year after PR (so August 2013). Your absence days need to be less than 450 days in the 5 years before applying including less tha 90 days in the last year before applying.
