Notice of Marriage visa requirement

Hello All,

I'm in UK under an Unmarried Partner Visa and I intend to marry my girlfriend in UK this year. I was wondering if I can give Notice of Marriage under this visa or would I need to apply (and therefore leave UK) for a Fiance Visa?

For those already inside the UK, Immigration status is no longer a factor in UK marriage. Just go ahead and marry. You apply for ILR after two years that includes your existing leave as UMP. In other words, the residence period is not reset and you don't have to apply for FLR in a new category as a spouse.
