online bank statement

Post by mohito143 » Sun Jun 03, 2012 12:14 am

Hello Guys,

i need clarification here; got an appointmentin Croydon for 6th June but my last bank statement has not arrived which means it wont arrive until 6th June which would have been too late. I prempted this situation and went to Halifax branch to get a print out. The print did not have my name on it but every page was signed and stamped with the official branch stamp. A letter was then written addressed to me to confirm the balance; again stamped and signed.

My question is should I still be worried?

Thanks for your insight into this especially those that have experienced same issues as this.

When asking queries, please make sure that you mention the immigration category you are in in the UK and the type of application you are making, so that others can make some sense of what is being asked.

To answer your question:
Perhaps yes, if the statement does not include the details that the policy guidance states that bank statements must show. So, read the relevant policy guidance.

Apologies for the incomplete narrative of my situation. am applying for tier1 genral extension, current visa expire july 5.

I have read the guidelines several times and it does say that adhoc statements printed on bank stationary will be accepted but the context is not entirely clear.

Currently what I have is a printed statement from the bank on their stationary which doesnt have my name or address on it but stamped and signed. And another separate letter adressed to me confirming the balance as of the time of print out. The letter though has got my full name and address, account number and date, signed, stamped and dated as well.

The question for me..

1. Is what I have adequate to take to Croydon?

2. Or should I wait for the statement to arrive on Weds (Bank said they have sent it since last Tue so its probably late due to Jubilee holidays) and risk getting to Croydon late by 1hr. Is there any consequences for arriving late? Another option am thinking is to have my sister bring the statement to Croydon about an hour after I have arrived.. but just dont know if they would asked me to submit what I brought with me.

Any serious thoughts on this would be really appreciated.

Moderator...seriously what do you think personally? I have read that guideline time and time again.

Like I said, there is a paragraph that makes me feel I got it covered and another one that makes feel " are you sure" hence the need to come on here and asked the more experienced folks like yourself.

Can I ask you again what your opinion is on this issue? or if you can direct me to a post in which someone's been through similar situations.

thanks

Hi Mohit

Very strage that the bank statement given doesnt have your name or account number on it. Anyways, i was in a similar situation last month and had a print out from HSBC. That was on their letter head and the person there also attached her visitng card to the printout given..note , no stamping or signing and it was all Ok..so i dont see a reason why you should be worried, more over you have all your previous month's bank statements in order so should be all fine. Good luck
