BC application eligibility time frame for my wife

Post by q1a2z2w4s5x6 » Mon Jun 04, 2012 9:55 am

I would like to know when my wife ( non EEA national) would be eligible to apply for British citizenship based on " Married to a British Citizen".

Her time lines are:

July 2009 :Entry to UK on Tier1 dependent (Since I am on Tier1: non EEA national)
Oct 2009 :Got ILR ( Due to the fact that I got my ILR)

Then in Jan 2010 I got my British citizenship.
So when does my wife qualify for UK citizenship?

Is it-
july 2012 ? ( 3 years in UK on temp or permanant residence and married to British citizen now)
Oct 2012 ? ( 3 years in UK on ILR and married to British citizen now)
Jan 2013 ? ( 3 years married to British citizen)

Thanks in advance.

q1a2z2w4s5x6, Jambo is right, she can apply from some time next month, but do ensure that she was physically in the UK exactly three years earlier.

In other words she must not apply before the third anniversary of her arrival date in the UK.
