spouse visa past job problem

Post by arsenal17 » Mon Jun 04, 2012 1:09 pm

hi, i was just wondering, i am needing to apply for spouse visa for my wife to come from turkey to the uk.

i should have all the papers in about 2-3 weeks, and she is still awaiting for her english certificate which should have arrived 2 weeks ago.

i just realised last night, i did a job from about march/april-september of 2010, and my manager paid me through the bank, i got about 800 a month maximum but less if i missed a day. and i missed a few days a month duringt the end.

i did not recieve no pay slip or nothing.

at the moment for my current job i started in january of 2011 it is all as normal as have been since i ever started working, getting payslips and paying tax and all.

but i got a letter in february 2012 saying i told hmrc i would be having gaps between my employment so i would be claming jsa, it looks like it might of been contributinary one as it did a -1400 pounds estimate and said i owe tax on that about 274 pounds.... i work full time, and i have never contacted hmrc,, so my feb and march pay tax code look different. i started another job. casual one so now i have 2 jobs, in april. and new tax code and new tax year. and it lchanged again. i think because of the new job. and i have a p60 as well from this april. showing my tax code until this april,
i am just wondering, is it a problem for me, because of the accusation that i told them i would be claming jsa? and then the ukba/ECO would contact hmrc, and they would contact the job centre, and will take ages. but willl see i did not ever recieve any money. because i have not clamined for about 2 years plus.... and then will the job centre check other things. for exmaple my last job where my manager told them i started working for them when i started... and they will say to the HMRC that i worked for that company, and the HMRC will say they have no recolection of me working there. and then i will be in trouble for not paying tax, even tho my manager never gave me no pay slip or nothing?

would apprecicite the help. have some info about all the talk about the uk spouse visa change that was supposed to be changed in june if anybody is interested. duno if anybody knows. my partner spoken to some kind of visa manager in turkey and he gave her some info and it is relieving and does make sence

hi thanks for the reply, they are impossible to get in touch with, i have tried since february, all i know is my tax code went back to 810L (normal i think) and changed again as of 2nd job, so taxed higher, unsure if the past is a problem because of the job where the employer dident contact hmrc
