Bank Account Statement for UK tier 4 Visa

Post by barznjy » Mon Jun 04, 2012 1:28 pm

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have 9 month English language study in UK, outside London.

I'm married and have two children.

Beside sponsorship letter that my sponsor provide to me, I have about £350 shortage per month, this will be £3150 shortage for the 9 months period of study (this amount is about $ 5000).

I put $ 6500, in my account in 2-May-2012.
And I debit $ 6000 in 3-June-2012.

I asked Bank to give me Statement in 4-June-2012.

My question is that;

Is this the right way of (Bank Account Statement for UK tier 4 Visa)?

Since the amount was in my account for more than 28 days.

Note: visa interview will be in 10-June-2012.

Best regards

If the money has left the account by the time the statement is produced then no it will not be ok because they look at the closing balance and count back. You also have to have the money on the date of the application.

Dear Greenie,

Many Thanks for the reply.

In fact, I understood wrong with this statement which is in the UKBA website;

"You must show that you have held the required money for a consecutive 28-day period (finishing on the date of the closing balance) ending no more than one month before your application."

I thought that I have to debit the money before the application to show that I have money on hand.

Now I understand, the money should be in my account.

Another question, if the bank didn't put its logo on the statement, is this be problem or not?

Thank you again.

not sure how your logic worked there- if the money has been withdrawn from the account then anyone could have it. I would suggest you put the money back in and wait another 28 days unless you have the funds in another account for 28 days.

Yes it will be a problem if there is no logo on the statement - as the guidance states.
