Tier1(General( extn). Limited company director

Hi,
i will be applying for my Tier 1 extension n near future as director of limited company.
Has anyone done this recently ?
Pls help me with below queries .
1) Is it mandatory to go for Biometrics ? I did it when i initially applied for Tier 1. what would be approximate time lines ?
2) document list
