Tier1 Dependent Case : Extension Outside UK?

Post by msarwar » Mon Jun 04, 2012 4:14 pm

Hi, I am Tier1 General Migrant Visa Holder Valid till Feb 2013. My visa along with my Wife's visa was stamped on Feb 2010. Due to Domestic issues, My wife was unable to travel to UK during this whole time. Now my extension is due on Feb 2013 and I want to get visa extension for my wife as well. Can anybody guide me what will be procedure of Dependents extension for Tier1 Migration category outside UK?

There is no extension; it will be another application for a visa in the same manner as the previous application.

Hi Guru, Thanks for your kind support in having my query addressed. Just wanted to let you know that

1. I have 3 children of mine who do not hold any current Dependent Visa and and are living outside UK currently.

2. My wife has Dependent Visa valid Till Feb 2013 and had never been to UK and is currently living outside UK.

My Query is: Whether should I process my wife's Visa as a new Tier1 Dependent Case after Feb 2013 along with my Children?

Would it have any impact on new visa application if my wife had applied as a new Tier1 Dependent Case ( considering she had not availed the previous UK alloted visa)?

Kindly support in having it addressed please.

If she does not intend to travel to the UK before the expiry of her current leave, then yes.

If your wife intends to travel to UK before her current leave expires (along with the children), then apply for EC for children only. Your wife can travel to UK on her current visa.

Hi Moderator,

Thanks for your kind reply.

My wife tend to be in UK after expiry of her current visa that is after Feb 2013.

Would it have any impact on new visa application if my wife had applied as a new Tier1 Dependent Case ( considering she had not availed the previous UK alloted visa)?

Kindly suggest.

Hi Team,

Can you kindly help in answering the following query of mine:

My wife tend to come to UK after expiry of her Current Visa that is after FEB 2013. I understand that I would be requiring a new VISA for her. My query is:

1. What impact would it have on 'new Visa application' considering she had not used the previous alloted visa for three years?

2. What would be the duration of her new visa?

Thanks in advance,

1. No.
2. The leave issued will have the same expiry date as yours.
