Post by zara786 » Mon Jun 04, 2012 9:09 pm

Hello,

My husband is in UK from last two months,he just got the job,he will be starting from 15th of June.he will get his first pay slip in first week of July.
my question is whether i can apply for EEA FP with just one pay slip that is also of half month to show that he is exercising treaty rights or i have to wait till he gets 3 months pay slip,

please reply i will appreciate as i want to join my husband as soon as possible.

An employer's letter confirming employment is all that's required to demonstrate that he is a worker.

VAF5 is from a time pre Metock case (if you are not familiar don't worry). In the past the UK used to ask such questions of applicants that were not already within the EU. That's been comprehensively banned (since said case). In other words, not required now.

Not applicable, not relevant, none of your business or all three.

Your husband is an EU citizen working in the UK.

So you do not need to answer any questions about how much money he has, how much money you have, where you are working (or not) presently. Just answer "Not applicable for spouse of EU citizen"

Why did you not go with your husband to the UK when he first went?
