MN1 in uk while baby not in uk!!

is ther anything against making MN1 application from uk while my baby is not currently residing in UK.

Application needs to be made the appropriate receiving authority in the country the child is present to be valid. See 6.3.1.2

thank u for ur reply......
i read through few of those paragraphs......
so as i understand ......
if i do apply from uk (under section 1(3))while my baby is not present in uk........(without mentioning that baby is not currently here)
the application will either get rejected and full fee refunded......or application will be accepted....

in any case will it be considered criminal offence or anything like that....worst case scenario plz......

there is the small matter of the declaration you need to sign on page 16 of the form:
WARNING To give false information on this form knowingly or recklessly is a criminal offence punishable with up to 3
months’ imprisonment or by a fine not exceeding £5,000 or both.
(Section 46(1) of the British Nationality Act 1981, as amended).

Just make the application in the country the child is present. Timescales should be similar to ones made from the UK (as the decision is taken in the UK).
