Applied for dependent extension visa but not hopeful, advice

Post by E5oteric » Tue Jun 05, 2012 8:52 am

I would really appreciate anyone advice or help with mine and my partners current visa issue.

I am british and my partner is from the Philipines, we met three months ago on a dating site and both fell in love really quickly.

My partner is currently renewing her visa but she isn’t very confident about the coming outcome, plus her current visa runs out in the next few days.

Her visa is a renewed dependents visa as she originally came to the UK with her partner who then left her to go back the philipines on March 2011 and she renewed her visa on May 2011, she was originally uncucessful but was able to successfully appeal thanks to her employers, she works as a private care assistant to the elderly and earns enough money to look after herself.

Lastly but not least she has become pregnant with my child and we are happilly expecting but both very worried about the visa.

We would both like to get married in the spring next year as it gives us time to have a nice ceremony.

My questions are:
Will we be able to get married if her visa expires?
Will her having my child effect things?
If she is unsuccessful would it be possible to get another type of visa or should we just get married quickly?

Also if anyone can advise of a really good value for money solicitor as my partner is paying a lot at the moment and we think that the person who refered her when she arrived is extorting her a little.

Any advice would be appreciated, I would love to hear from anyone who was in a similar situation.

Thanks in advance, Chris.

She can't renew her visa without her sponsoring partner so how was her appeal successful?. Has she switched her status and if so, into what? She needs to divorce and marry you, the make the appropriate application based on her relationship to you.
