Went out of the UK on weekend. No problem getting out of the UK as I am having PR and also RC for 5 yrs and was travelling with my partner.
While coming back in Dunkirq French IO didn’t understand why I don’t need a sc hengen visa and why its not in my passport. So I told him about EU law and he then asked me do I have a proof so I showed him our marriage certificate which he didn’t understand and then he read our names and compare with in the passports and told us next time we need to show our passports with the marriage certificate. Anyways we went to UK immigration post the guy checked the passport and returned them. Anyways we changed our mind to board the early ferry and then came out of the area and went back again after 5 hrs. this time french io ( another one than in the mornning) didn’t ask any question and just returned our passports. Went to the UK post and the guy didn’t understand the visa and then checked with someone and then came to us said everything is fine and stamped my passport.
Didn’t fill landing card both the times.
So message learnt keep the marriage certificate handy
