please help with supporting documents

hello

i'm going to recieve soon from my friend in England an invitation letter and accommodation .

i'm just wondering if the ukba will accept scanned copies for accommodation or i need to show them orignal copies ?. also should the invitation letter be legalized ?

another thing :

i have some documents in french cause i'm living in a french speaking country shall i translate them in english , or keep them in french ?
