Tier 1(Gnrl) extension - how to put previous earnings in UK?

Post by rheapillai » Thu Jun 07, 2012 4:07 pm

Hi All

Reaching out everyone for some advice on how best I can apply for Tier 1 (Gnrl) extension without real earnings in UK.

I have my Tier 1 valid till aug 2012 since aug 2010, but I could not use untill recently in March 2012 where in my office in Delhi had a role in London and I moved to london. But here I continue to get my Indian salary and is paid some basic 200pounds per week allowance. And I am not sure if I meet the previous earnings criteria, since the earnings are minimum.

I meet all other criterias and I am doubtful on previous earnings and I am scared that I would miss extension by an inch.

Q1: Since I got my visa in July 2010, what is the minimum amount of earnings I need to show to get atleast 20points, to meet a minimum of 80 points for filing an extension?

Q2: How should I treat my Indian salary before and after (since March) landing to UK? Can I use uplift ratios on any of these?

Q3: My company invested some amount on my accmodation here for 4 months in my name, can I add that in my earnings in UK?

Should I take a chance for 1500pounds (for PEO, since I have very less time) on the extension?

Any suggestions or comments would be helpful.I am in UK till mid July and I need to file fo extension by 1st week of July.

Please help.

Many Thanks!

1. Read the policy guidance.
2. The concept of uplift ratio doesn't exist anymore.
3. No, because it is not part of your income.
