Line Manager Letter for ILR gap>90days

Post by udaythota » Thu Jun 07, 2012 10:04 pm

Hello,
Im applying for my ILR-SET(O) next week.I have read in various topics on few people arranging for a line managers letter in addtion to company letter. I did manage to get the company letter.

Any tips/template for managers email ?? Also will the line managers email make a difference for ILR?

I assume you are a Tier 2 migrant. You need a letter from the employer and you already have that. Your manager would, in any case, have to write a letter only with the consent and on behalf of the company so why would anyone consider providing the same thing twice?

Im on Tier 1 visa. I had to travel outside UK on various occasions. These were work releated .However , the pay was paid in the respective countries as im deputed employee in UK. I did get a letter from HR that I travelled on work assignments. Is it worth tkaing an email from my line manager who agrees on it .
