city and guilds anyone?

Post by skstar » Fri Jun 08, 2012 11:11 pm

hey guys,

Has anyone taken the A1 english test with city and guilds? My partner has been told by the test centre that they will put results online next week and then send out a certificate within 7 working days.

I've heard negative things recently about them delaying the results etc. Has anyone had bad experiences with them? It's annoying when everything is done and you are waiting for that one piece of paper or several? or five?! As i've read different things from different sources! . ¬.¬
I hope that the above is correct and what the test centre said is accurate!

My sis in law took the test with City and Guilds in Pakistan. The results took ages to come as you can see from my timeline. Maybe it differs from country to country but I would not recommend them for efficiency.

Has your sis in law applied now? it states 'expected to apply June 2012' :)

Also why is the process so long? The results are uploaded online by UK City and guilds, and the test centre in Pakistan is able to access them. Which part is delaying the process? Does the UK take too long in uploading the results? I also that people do not inquire enough and as a result their results are just waiting to be told to them.

No she hasn't, still waiting for a few documents yet.
As for the results, my sis in law was told it would take a month for the results and she would be given a call and then another 2 weeks for the certificate to arrive. And it took longer than that..
