BRP Stolen - how do I prove I can work?

Post by apple0 » Mon Jun 11, 2012 11:53 am

My BRP was stolen and I am in the process of getting it replaced. In the meantime, what can I provide a potential employer with to prove I am able to work in the UK?

Thanks!

i guess if you know your BRP number, they can do a search and obtain your record there.

Guess if you have a scanned copy of the BRP that should suffice and you can provide the email address employerBRPverification@ukba.gsi.gov.uk to your employer if they need to check the authenticity of the BRP.

Thank you. I do have a scanned copy of the BRP and the approval letter. I just wasn't sure whether, if an employer went to verify the BRP, the number would show up as cancelled/invalid. I'll see what happens if it becomes an issue.
