Period of grant of Tier 1 (General) extension

Post by Sam_84 » Tue Jun 12, 2012 6:50 am

I just got my Tier-1 Visa extended for a further period of two years (through PEO yesterday). I have heard that some people are granted the extension for three years? Why this difference?
The standard extension is two years or three years?

its surprising!!!! I can see another post with the same issue. Those who have been granted the initial one before the rule changed on 6th April 2010, their visa will be extended for 2 years but for all others it should be 2 + 3 yrs extended.

Not sure, why is this happening... For me, I have applied on 12th June 2010, got my visa on 23rd June 2010, so I believe it will be extended for 3 yrs. My original was for 2 yrs...

Can someone check this please?

what do you mean 'can someone check this'? if an individual is granted the wrong period of leave, they contact the UKBA to ask for it to be corrected
