hello everyone,
i am desperate for advise ,
i have been living here for almost 10 yrs i will be eligible
for ilr in sep 2 2012,at the moment im on psw exp jun 2014,
my girl friend came to uk dec last yr on a visit visa
and her visa is expiring 21st june,we planned to marry here
in council bt unfortunately my passport was in homeoffice
and we couldnt and we ended up marrying in mosque,
my wife is alhamdulillah she is 3 months pregnant,
she is flying back end of this wk, i have submitted my
marriage certificate issue by mosque to get attested by
foreign common wealth office,
is that enough to prove she is my wife as we didnt do
a civil marriage?
i am also trying to add her name on my passport?
i even got documents from maternity hospital?

please please i would really appreciate for ur quick
advise, thanks

If you have only had a religious ceremony in the mosque and not a civil ceremony then the marriage will not be considered a lawful marriage in the UK.
