10 year long residence settlement

Post by Mandy17 » Wed Jun 13, 2012 8:06 pm

I am currently trying to apply for 10year long resident settlement. I have been in uk since 2002. I had a refusal for my visa in 2009 Feb when i applied for post study. I appealed and then had to stop after i failed my second appeal and applied for assylum. I was granted refugee status in March 2010. I am not sure of this gap whether it will affect my application. Is there any way i can apply for indefinite leave to remain. I have also my passports taken away by the home office when they issued me with travel document. Is there a way i can request for them so as to get evidence to support my 10year long residense application.

On what date was the final appeal refused?
On what date did you apply for asylum?

The final appeal was refused in August 2009 and re-applied a fresh application for post study in August 2009. The reply was refused in January and i applied for my assylum at the end of January 2010 and was granted on 15 March 2010
