Just a quick question about applying

Post by Bexsie » Thu Jun 14, 2012 1:58 pm

Hi, my husband is about to apply for BC and has printed of AN form. However it is dated September 2010 is this the latest application form. I can not see any thing on the form that tells me how much the fee is and how you can pay, I have looked on the Border Agency website but can't seem to open the links on their page.
I have also been told that the rules will be changing in July this year and the fees will be going up and the applicant has to be living in the country 5 years instead of 3 and that they will have to do some form of community volunteering......is this true?????

The downloadable form on the UKBA website is dated September 2010.
The current fee is £851.
You are confused with 'new regulations'. Your husband is not affected by these and neither are there new rules which require 'community service'.

Thanks for your quick reply. So I am right in thinking that we need not rush the application then before July as nothing will be changing. If so thats good news. Just another quick question if I may. For referees our friend who is a civil servant at the jobcentre will be signing the 1st one and the second is our friend who is also a postman both of whom have known my husband for 3 years. Will these be accepted. Thanks
