Parents - Family Visit. Help Needed

Hi All,

This forum has been of great help to me over the past few years. I would be grateful if you could help me out.

My parents are planning to apply for a family visit visa. They visited me around 3 years ago as well. The queries I have are below:

1. I have only 5 months visa left on my Tier 1 (i.e. till Nov 2012). Is it mandatory for the sponsor (in this case, me) to have 6 months of visa?

2. Is it mandatory to provide original payslips and bank statements or just photocopies are enough?

3. What about employer letter? I am self employed and it is not possible to get an employer letter.

3. My parents have given the biometrics before when they applied 3 years ago. Is it necessary to provide biometrics again?

I have emailed UKBA customer services regarding the same and have not got a reply yet. It has been more than 3 weeks now.

Any help would be appreciated.

Just one more query.

Since I am the sponsor for my parents and I have to provide the bank statements and payslips, is it necessary that the bank statements should be within the 28 days? i.e. the date of my recent bank statement is 1st June and we are planning to apply during the first week of July.

Unable to find any details on the guidance. Please advise.

The most recent statement should be as recent as possible but it's not mandatory that it be no later than 28 days. This requirement is limited to maintenance for applications under the PBS
