SOC Code Info on the Work Permit letter not available

Post by shrikant124 » Fri Jun 15, 2012 5:21 pm

I have to go through the Settlement VISA (Indefinite leave to remain), and looking for Immigration category and Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) code to mentioned on form.

My work permit has granted in the July 2007 (initially for 1 year and extended for additional 5 years) and I think, it was for an intra company transfer. There is no reference of the SOC code and work permit category on my WP letter.

I have called to number 0114 207 4074 (Sheffield UKBA Office), which is appearing on my WP letter and they said the WP is old so do not have info about SOC code and latest category even if I have reference/case number appearing on WP letter. It may possible SOC code and tier structure weren’t in exists in 2007.
The Sheffield UKBA Office gave me “0870 606 7766” for Immigration enquiry bureau and they says they can’t confirm anything. Employer says they can’t help more because there isn’t anything appearing on the WP letter.

It is very clear that basic requirement of Immigration category and Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) code can’t full fill very clearly and may affect application.

Is there anyone gone through such problem before? Please help me as my ILR in next month
