New income requirement for family visas - fiancé

Post by Impatient » Sat Jun 16, 2012 4:07 pm

My fiancé handed in an application for fiance visa on 14th June. I am aware that the income requirements will change to having to earn atleast £18,600 after 9th July.
If my fiances visa is accepted and we apply for spouse visa from the uk with him having a job offer will both of our earnings be considered or just mine as the sponsor.

Please help :(

Your application will be decided on the rules pre-9th July...i.e as they are at present.

Hi. My fiance recently got refused his visa as there were 'no firm plans in place for wedding' even though we had enclosed the forms obtained from the registry office and it is impossible to book a date until you are both in the uk together. We have appealed but its a long wait. Good luck.

It looks to me that you have everything covered. But then we thought we had everything as well. From what i've learned is that nothings certain but cant think of anything you have missed. We got refused on the lack of wedding plans and intent to live together..even although we had lived together for months. Is there a large age gap or different religions/culture? If not then I am sure you will be ok and get the visa .

Yeah its rubbish, I think they change the rules to suit them. My fiance is a Christian im not really religious. He lives in Egypt which I have heard it is hard to obtain a visa from there. Were u waiting long for your decision? Fingers crossed for your appeal I think alot of decisions get over turned.
Im regards to accomodation I will be living with my parents to start with I have provided letters from both to say it is ok, housing inspection report, all house bills ie council tax, water and gas and electric, mortgage deeds, land registry and mortgage statements with pics of the house. Hope its enough :?

We applied january..refused end february..appealed march..and didnt get confirmation of appeal till may. Got immigration lawyer to lodge appeal and they have till september to review. My own thoughts are that coz im not indian they think hes using me for a visa. Its total crap. I was thinking that u havent known each other very long..but that should have nothing to do with it....u could meet someone in the pub tonite and marry them next month..no questions asked...am hoping u get the visa and dont have to go through the sh!t we are rite now. Wish u luck.

Didnt want to do the appeal ourselves since we didnt get the visa without a lawyer. Cost so far,..£720 to lawyer for the first stage appeal and another £140 to tribunal. If it has to go to hearing it'll be another £720 ..and am skint...but he's worth it. As u say...cant help who we fall for. We will get the visas. Wish I cud get my hands round the neck of the jobsworth @rse that refused my mans visa tho.....
