want to marrry and settle my partner

hi everyone,
this is our first time using a forum, hope we can get advice and information we seeking.

i'M having difficulties to decide how and can i settle my partners stay in the uk..i've been living in the uk for more than 15 years and have ILR,
my partner(subject to immigration control) and i been together for 10 years and have a 7yo child..
and wishes to get marry
we have been to many many solicitors and havnt get the right advice we hoping for
my question?
1.on what ground should/can i settle my partner.
2. does my partner eligible for settlement
