English Language Issue level A1

Post by JAGOO » Sat Jun 16, 2012 8:49 pm

Dear All,
Please help me with this issue.

1. My wife is enrolled with the local council for the English Language course and the name of the course is Cambridge ESOL Skills for life Entry 1 which is a level A1 for the spouse visa requirement.
2. According to the list by UKBA, this course is a approved language course for visa requirement.
3. Now my concern is that the exam centre (Local college where council conducts exam for this course) does not appear on the Cambridge List so i got bit worried and rang the Cambridge ESOL helpline and they confirmed me on the phone and sent me an e-mail confirming that the college is a approved and authorised test centre for these exmas.
4. Cambridge ESOL department also said that cuz the college is an internal test centre so its the college decision to be on the list or not and if they wish they can be on the list but indeed they are approved and authorised test centre for these exmas by Cambridge.
5. Cambridge also told me that UKBA approves the test and not the test centres as Cambridge does this.
6. The college is a highly trusted sponsor as well which i checked on the UKBA website.

Any help and advice will be much appreciated.......

Your fine. The UKBA approves the test; the test provider then administers the test through its chosen network so you will only see the type of test of the UKBA approved list rather than individual locations. For individual locations you need to look at the test provider's website.
