SET O but wife cant get in as short of 2 years.

Post by nottinghill » Mon Jun 18, 2012 11:15 am

I will try to make it short

I will be completing my 5 years under Tier 1 in July but my wife who will be 45 days short of 2 years for apply for ILR with me.
I will be going in person to get the ILR and my question is since I CAN’T put my wife under my SET (O) she will be submitting FLR( M) and can I take her with me and submit both applications at the same time.

So my question is can I do that like that and apply both of us same time in person where we will be submitting two sets of applications?

I BELIEVE when I changed my status her visa will be invalid under PBS dependent and hence she needs to convert to ILR spouse visa at the same time.

Irony is within 45 days she has to convert her status twice. First from PBS dependent to ILR spouse and then ILR and I suppose it’s all which we all have to abide by.

Many thanks for all your reply in an advance.

Many thanks for replies.

In that case Do I need to change my appointment as I have booked one appointment for both myself and my wife (one dependent) or can I simply go and submit just my application and booked another one for my wife a different day.

I WILL apply in last week of July

You'll need to check with UKBA whether you need to reschedule the family appointment to change it to a single appointment or can the modification be done without the need to reschedule.
