ILR Success ( HSMP + Tier 1 ) @ Solihull 14/6

Post by disdil4u » Mon Jun 18, 2012 12:43 pm

Hi All,
I applied for HSMP in July 2007 and granted 2 years visa after that I applied for Tier 1 Extension in 2009 (early extension in person @ Glasgow) and granted 3 years visa! I worked with same company for 5 years!
My wife already living with me since 2006. I have not included my son into application because he born in UK and I am going to register him under MN1 for British Citizenship.

I booked online exactly 42 days before the appointment day!
My visa expiry date is 12th July and I booked appointment for 14th June which is exactly 28 days before my visa expiry but no question asked.
My nearest one is Glasgow but lots of member mentioned solihull is the best one so I chose Solihull and I am really glad I did even though it took me 6 hrs to drive there!!! We stayed overnight day before in very good B&B (www.appletreewickbandb.com). Very polite and had really good experience!
Our appointment was 10 and we arrived at 9.30 coz they said you will need 30 mins time for security check, actually it only took 2 mins! We waited 30 mins until our number is called!

We went to the counter and the caseworker was really nice. He asked for our application form, passports, photographs and life in the uk test then he did some checking for our pervious visa. He told us our scores as well.
I got 24/24 and my wife got 22/24.

Then he asked 12 months bank statements, 12 payslips and employment letter for earning. He did calculate earning using calculator and verified the amount in company letter. Also verified in bank statements.

After that he asked for co-docs which he took only 2 council tax and 2 bank statements.. no more additional docs and not even marriage certi.

I have prepared cover letters and all others docs but never asked and I have not given anything.

After that he did some other checks on passports. At finally asked copies of all documents submitted which I have given.

Finally, after 25 mins, he told us our ILR is granted and gave us back our passports and told us to make the payment at next counter and went out to take the biometric details and after 1 hr 30 mins and we can come back to collect our approval letters and doc back!
We waited around 15 mins, our number was called and took our biometric details.
We left the building around 11.30 and went to the shopping center and had lunch and came back exactly 1 hr 30 mins later and the lady asked our token number and she went inside and checked! She said it was ready and gave us back our doc and approval letter and told us to wait 7-10 days for biometric card to arrive!

We have also received our cards today in afternoon (after 2 days) and we are so glad that we found this forum and it helped us a lot!!

Thank you everyone!!!!!

Good Luck to all who are waiting.
