Questions

Post by deep_rp » Thu Oct 12, 2006 12:25 pm

Hi,
I have the following questions...

1. Do I need to submit the Income Tax submission form for HSMP processing? Can I instead show my wage certificate and Bank Statement for the past one year
2. Do I need to get Entry Clearance after I get HSMP. If yes how and where would I get it?

Thanks
Deepak

Hi,

1. Youcan use wage-slips as one indpendent evidence of past earnings, but bankstatements can be used only for missing pay-slips and not as an independent evidence (as per the guidelines). Also, you need to submit a second independent evidence covering the correct 12 month period, and this need not be an IT return. You can get a letter from employer certifying your salary in the last 12 months.

Please realize that bankstatements reflect only "net" salary and not "gross salary". Similarly, in IT returns the non-taxable payments never get reflected (so the figure is always less than gross).

1. Yes, you need to to get an EC. Through the local BHC. Worry about this later !
