Life in UK test.

Post by kevsyboy » Tue Jun 19, 2012 1:53 pm

As my Filipino wife and I have been married for 16 years outside of the UK, I understand that she now only has to take the LIFE IN UK test to qualify for ILR and that does not require her to life in the UK for 2 year probationary period.
If this is correct, can any member kindly advise us if it is possible to take the test in the Philippines, say at the British Embassy, or do we have to travel to the UK.
Any website advise would be much appreciated.

This route to settlement (married for at least 4 years, staying together overseas for at least 4 years, LITUK) is coming to an end on 09-Jul-12.
See the fourth bulleted paragraph under clause 17 of this document.

LITUK can only be taken in UK.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!
