time to go .........advice ll be appreciated

Post by packing » Tue Jun 19, 2012 2:42 pm

I ll complete 14 yrs of being in uk illegally on 31 of july 2012.
With the new rules from 9th of july I won't be eligible hence my decision is to go back to my home country.

Would like advice on what to do, should I report my self to nearest police staion or peharps nearest UKBA post.

Atleast they ll be responsible for flight, feeding and accomodation till departure.

Pardon me if I can't really post circumstances surrounding my situation as am presently emotionally down.

Have you thought about making a discretionary leave to remain?I don't know your circumstances but you may have established a private life.I suggest speaking to a solicitor or registered adviser. You may qualify for legal aid.

If you are really intent on going phone the numbers of your local ukba enforcement team numbers here http://immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=86090.If you have a travel document it will help.

Good luck with whatever decision you make.

you can apply before 9th July as by the time they consider the application you will have been here for 14 years. Would suggest you seek advice on whether you meet the requirements first from a competent immigration solicitor.

Applications made 'outside the rules' before 9th July will not be considered according to the current DL policy after 9th July - they will be considered according to the new 10 year route to settlement which on private life grounds is very difficult to qualify for.
