Tier 1 general extension not staying continiously

Post by sameerjamal » Tue Jun 19, 2012 7:57 pm

Hi,

I applied for Tier 1 in 2010 (before 6th of April 2010) I was then given three years Tier 1 visa, however I left United Kingdom soon after I obtained the visa, now after 2 years I've got a good opportunity in UK however my tier 1 will expire on 6th of April 2013, so if I enter Uk on 1 August 2012 and my earnings for next 8 months are sufficent to get a tier 1 extension will I get any extension ? as earnings are for just 8 months, is there any rule that I've to be continiously for 1 year in UK to get tier 1 extension, please provide any help on this.

Regards,
Sameer

There are no residence restrictions for extensions provided you score the necessary points. Only if you ever expect to apply for ILR will you need to limit your absences in accordance with the guidelines.

You can also consider any overseas earnings (without any uplift ratio) for scoring points.

I got extension based on 8 months' UK earnings and presence, similar to yours. read my other posts for more details.
