Had a thought today

im british but also eligible for an EU passport by descent, i havent got the EU passport at present but if i filled the paper work and got it would i be able to bring my spouse under european rules - i.e quicker processing time & free even though i am living in the UK.

or because im also a british citizen as well do i not have the choice

anyone have any knowledge ?
