Marriage status declaration for visa

Divorced English woman, resident in spain due to marry pakistani nacional in pakistan.
Nikanama states i must tick one of the following boxed (single, divorced or widowed). Am i obliged to tick the divorced box even though i consider myself single?
And on applying for the schengan visa for my husband, i can provide the proof (decree absolute) which shows i am now divorced. but will the application be accepted if i tick single?

In context of the boxes that you say are available, single = never married.
