Switching from visit visa to spouse/marriage visa, in UK

Post by funsho11 » Sat Jun 23, 2012 3:13 pm

Zimbabwean national married to a British citizen on six months family visit visa hopes to switch visa to marriage / spouse visa while in the UK. Married for six months, and originally intending to live in South Africa hence the initial family visit application for six months, we have now decided to settle in the UK.

We would like to know the following
1. is it possible to make a switch from a family visa to the spouse visa while in the UK

2. is it necessary / advisable to go through an agency / solicitor to represent our case or can we make the application ourselves -

3. any advice or tips on how to apply would be fabulous

thank you for your kind help

1. No.
2. Irrelevant.
3. Apply for settlement visa from outside the UK.
