Application to the Home Office to remain in UK

Post by keeirthi » Sun Jun 24, 2012 3:16 am

Hi,

I am applying for a General Visit visa and I have a doubt in the following question in the online Application form

6.7 Have you made an application to the Home Office to remain in the UK in the last 10 years? Please provide details

this means did i ever apply for a visa to enter and remain in UK? or did i apply for a visa after coming back from UK ?

P.S: I had applied for a student Visa in sep 2010 from India and my visa was granted and then I applied in April 2012 for a PSW visa from India but i was rejected due to a clerical error made by my university on printing a wrong date

So my answer should be the details of my 1st Student visa being granted or the PSW visa which was rejected ?

Your reply would be highly appreciated as my appointment to visa office is on Tuesday

Thanks & Regards

Applications to the Home Office to remain in the UK are applications made from inside the UK to remain in the UK. You say no to this question

Applications for a visa are application made outside the UK to enter the UK. This would refer to your student visa and PSW application that was refused.

No need to re-apply. You can hand-write in ink any corrections on the print-out that you submit to the VAC.
