absence out of country: need help Tier 1 general

Post by kmj_005 » Sun Jun 24, 2012 9:59 am

Hello guys,

I had my initial tier 1 visa in 2009, I just got my tier 1 general extended for the next 2 years, after that( i mean in 2014) hopefully i should get my PR (as i am under 3+2 years permit). I am without job at the moment. I just gone back home only for 30 days in the past. Now I am planning to go back to india for a 4 months selffunded training on some course. I know that i can't do that in one shot which will affect my PR. So I am planing to first go for 70 days, then comeback for 2 days and go back for another 50 days. I got few nerves on my decision, could you please help me on these questions,

Is it alright to ahead on this plan?

I am doing this plan, without job, so when i comeback (after 70days trip) or go for the second trip(50days), will that be a problem with immigration at the airport(asit is a shortstay for 2 days here between the trips)?

Also at the airport immigration, if they ask me, can i tell them, i dont have job at the moment?(because last time they asked me, at that time i had job)

Thanks for your help

If your total absences for personal reasons such as this (excluding absences on account of work assignments and paid leaves, both certified by employer) will not go beyond the 180 days limit, you should be fine.

Hello Guys,

sorry about the silly questions, As according my 2nd question in the previous above post, I am going to book the tickets (london to india)as follows,
12th july (depart london)- 15 september (arrive london)
16th september(depart london) -9th November(arrive london)

1. Inorder to avoid the complete 90 days out of uk, I would like to book as above. However there is no days inbetween my journeys (just 20 hours inbetween) will that be alright. Please give me a green signal so that I can book the ticket.
2. Also I think I need to explain this while applying for ILR. when I apply for my ILR, can I mention that inorder to avoid the complete 90 days , I have gone this way or just say in the reason column that both of them for selffunded training.

Thanks
