Help please; Urgent travel - temporary passport

Hi All,

I am required to travel urgently due to a family illness, however my passport is with the Home Office awaiting approval of ancestry visa extension. I am able to get a temporary Canadian passport, which will not annul the passport currently with the Home OFfice.

I am considering travelling on the temporary Canadian passport, however it isn;t clear what will happen when I seek to re-enter the UK on this document.

Has anyoen tried this? What was the outcome?

Would greatly appreciate any assistance you are able to provide.
