FLR (M) Visa

Post by nzgo » Mon Jun 25, 2012 8:47 pm

Hi,

I came to UK on a Tier 1 (HSMP) in 2009, but recently got married to UK citizen and instead of entending my Tier 1, i decided to apply for a FLR (M) - Marriage visa.
We have been married since september 2011 and things have gone really wrong. She wants to file for a dovirce but I have been advised that if that happens, then I will be sent back to NZ as my visa is dependent on my wife.

IS this true?? Dont both parties have to agree to a divorce before it can be confirmed? Cant i not transfer to another visa?

Can anyone please advise me what to do?

Thanks

I believe that you may only switch if you are the victim of domestic violence or on the basis of child access.
