earnings query - slight confusion

Hi There,

I am employed + self employed. I am going for ILR under 2yr hsmp + 3 yr tier 1 in 5 weeks time. got a query. please help

I'm going to claim earnings from last 12 months between July 11 to June 12. I am claiming 24K.I have no issues with that.

My query is :

Is it Ok if my earnings between financial year April 2011 to April 2012 tax year is only 18K. Does it have to be more than 20K?
