Tier 1 Dependent Visa for New Born Baby

Tier 1 Dependent Visa for New Born Baby

Hi All

I am on Tier1 General Visa and our baby boy is three months old.I have to apply for INDIAN passport for my Baby.Is it possible for my wife to travel back to INDIA without applying for Tier1 Dependent for my baby while staying in UK and apply it from INDIA.
I know it takes lot of time to get the Tier1 dependent VISA by postal application over here.I have to relocate to some other city and there is no one is there to take care of my family.In my view my wife can travel to INDIA and apply for Tier1 Dependent Visa for baby that will be best for me.

Please help me with this query.

Yes, the child can apply from India.
