From PSW Dependant to Tier 2 General visa - urgent

Post by Sevara » Fri Jun 29, 2012 11:32 am

Dear forum members,

As I mentioned above I am on a PWS dependant Visa which is to expire on December 20, 2012. I have been working for a private company for two years. My employer does not have licence of sponsorship. Could you please advise step by step of what needs to be done to get a tier 2 visa in my case?

I remember a while ago I have read in this forum, someone wrote down detailed steps, however I have spent three days to search the existing topic and could not find it now! I would be happy if you could refer me to the link if you are aware of such existing topic.

I need to send that information to the management, so that they help me with my application. I read the UKBA guidances and I know that they need to apply for a licence, and then conduct RMLT, issue me a CoS and with the same Cos, I should return to my country and apply from there. However, I need expert advice here, more detailed explanation with where my employer needs to pay attention, etc. As nor I or my employer has ever dealt with this situation, I wouldn't want to trust my own research.

Any advice on my case would be highly appreciated!

This indeed is the correct procedure.

The first step is for the company to apply for a sponsor licence. The details of what they need to do are described in the sponsor guidance:
