UK Tier 1 validity start date (Valid From date)

Hello,

My current Tier 1 UK visa is valid until August 2012.
I have new visa appointment on 15th July 2012 in person (special).

Do they (UKBA) issue new visa 'valid from' date with the end date of existing visa (that is 30 July 2012)
or
Do they issue new visa 'valid from' date with the date of appintment/new visa issue
(that is 15 July 2012)

Hi,

You could get either, it depends on the case worker. Unfortunately, there is no magic formula that gives a 100% guarantee that it will be from the expiry date and not the approval date.
